This postcard-sized art quilt was the smallest entry in the category of Art-Miniatures in Quilts: A World of Beauty at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. Are there any good strategy/tactics online resoures? Hi. I've recently started playing Axis & Allies minis and I'm looking for some good online resources for general wargaming tactics and strategies like flanking and come up.. that's why I be some resources - I don't know much about tactics/strategy!I've been to the Wizards/Avalon forge site and construe the articles there and now I'm looking for something more advanced. Online resources are what I'm looking for but I've also heard that older publications like The command might have good info desire what I'm looking for. Any resources desire magazines or books would be appreciated also. Thanks in advance! this command was written with the Steel Panthers: World at War bet in mind but the principles should still apply especially since you be interested in WW2 (A&A minis)... It may be a little too "real life" and specialised but I found the US Marine Corps manual "FMFM-1: Warfighting" to be a bit helpful in tabletop wargaming. And it's free! (PDF change) Also. "The Art of Maneuver Warfare" really improved my wargaming! The second half of the book is an examination of the US military but the first half is a chew over of the terms principles and theory of command warfare that taught me quite a lot. It certainly made me a better wargamer. I can't recommend it enough. Also it sounds trite but "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu is a very good philosophical text on war. He doesn't give direct advice like "Artillery goes in the back." or "Don't place tanks on top of a hill." but more general advice like "Water flows around the move back and forth." or "Security against defeat implies defensive tactics; ability to defeat the enemy means taking the offensive." Understanding him takes some thought and reflection but it's very well worth your while to alter the effort. And it's free!
